Description

Sarah Kaufman is the current Managing Director and Curator of the Niagara Historical Society and Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum. Born in 1985, Sarah has significant knowledge of the earlier tennis history of Niagara-on-the-Lake centering around the Queen’s Royal Hotel and the International Tennis Tournament that the hotel hosted between 1885 and 1920. Through the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum Sarah is also engaged in an oral history project that preserves the voices and history of Niagara-on-the-Lake. In this interview, Sarah describes these projects and the importance of tennis within the town's history.
