Interview with Andre Gallant

Andre Gallant has worked as an organizer of the Canada Games for over two decades. Beginning as a summer intern in the 1980s and leaving to pursue other ventures in 2008, Andre supported, attended, and contributed to the Games at a federal level, and also witnessed the incorporation of the Canada Games Council. In this interview, Andre explains how the Canada Games were organized on a broader scale and offers an insightful government perspective on things like determining host societies, building new infrastructure, and the connection between the Games and Canadian identity.
