Interview with Clive Buist

Description

Born in England in 1952, raised in Toronto, and currently residing in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Clive Buist spent 29 years as Director of Parks and Recreation for Niagara-on-the-Lake beginning in 1985. In this interview he explains how he worked closely with the NOTL Tennis Club throughout his position, even becoming a member from 1986 to 1991. During his time as Director of Parks and Recreation, Clive was instrumental in helping the Club raise money for and implementing the omni courts. He also played an important role in helping the Tennis Club achieve funding grants for the building of the Pavilion in the 90s. Clive’s role was central to fostering a strong and mutually-beneficial working relationship between the Tennis Club and the NOTL Town Council.
